Bitcoin's latest rally put it in a different trajectory than all other financial assets.
Bitcoin cleared $86,600 this week, extending a rally that has pushed the token up 10.8% over the trailing week and back to price levels last seen in January. The move came alongside a broader climb across major cryptocurrencies, with ether gaining 10.4% over the same period, though bitcoin's advance stood out for the unusually large wave of forced selling it triggered among traders who had bet on further declines.
The upgrade could activate Oct. 5, letting businesses give another account limited powers such as making payments or approving customers without handing over full control.
Bitcoin's rally above $87,000 has returned the psychologically important $100,000 level to traders' radar as institutional inflows, corporate purchases and an improving technical structure support the cryptocurrency's recovery. BTC reached its highest level since January on September 22 before retreating from the session high. The move coincided with gains in technology stocks, suggesting investors were becoming more willing to embrace risk. Short covering may also have accelerated the advance as traders betting against Bitcoin closed their positions. The sustainability of the rally, however, will depend on continued demand and whether BTC can remain above its recent breakout levels.
US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded more than $1.7 billion in net inflows over two days as Bitcoin rose above investors' estimated average cost basis.

Bitcoin could face a longer period of regulatory uncertainty after the CLARITY Act stalled in the U.S. Senate, although the setback has not changed BTC's current classification as a digital commodity. According to a Sept.

In the week ending September 20, the average volume of XRP transferred to the Binance exchange platform reached 21.7 million tokens, 663% higher than its quarterly reference. Meanwhile, XRP surpassed $1.50, however, these inflows are not sufficient to confirm an increase towards $1.80.
XRP has pushed through the $1.60 price level following a sustained rebound from the $1.25 support zone. Recent market data showed the digital asset hovering around $1.64, representing approximately 8% gains across a 24-hour trading window.
Ethereum (ETH) has surged nearly 2% over the past 24 hours, reaching the previously forecast target of $2,800 as improving technical and on-chain indicators support the possibility of further gains. The latest rally strengthens the argument that Ethereum's previous bearish cycle ended when the cryptocurrency fell to approximately $1,550. Since establishing that low, ETH has recovered sharply and broken out of a bullish continuation pattern, putting the next major upside target near $3,400. Although the broader macroeconomic environment remains challenging, rising trading activity, renewed exchange-traded fund inflows and a notable on-chain signal suggest that buyers are regaining control of the market.
