Near New Highs, Short On Company

The S&P 500 is down less than half a percent from its record high set on August 13th, though there are more stocks in the index at 52-week lows than highs. Since 1990, there have only been five days when the S&P 500 posted a 52-week high but its net percentage of stocks at 52-week highs was negative (more stocks hit 52-week lows than 52-week highs).
