BTCUSDT Perpetual — 5m chart
Read of the market
- The dominant intraday move is still bearish after the sharp liquidation from the 78,000+ area.
- Price has bounced from the 76,550 low and is now forming a short-term recovery with higher lows, but it remains below the key supply/resistance zone around 77,500–77,660.
- RSI near 56 shows modest bullish momentum, but it is not strong enough alone to confirm a reversal.
My idea: Wait for confirmation — favor a sell on rejection
At roughly 77,268, price is in the middle of the local range, so the risk/reward is not attractive for chasing either direction.
Preferred short setup
Look for a push into 77,400–77,500 followed by a clear 5-minute bearish rejection / lower high.
- Sell entry: 77,400–77,500 after rejection confirmation
- Stop-loss: Above 77,660
- Target 1: 77,115
- Target 2: 77,000–76,950
- Target 3: 76,550 if selling accelerates
This setup follows the larger bearish structure and uses the marked resistance/supply zone above.
Bullish alternative
Only consider a buy if BTC gets a solid 5-minute close above 77,500, then retests and holds that area as support.
- Buy entry: Retest/hold of 77,500 after breakout
- Stop-loss: Below 77,350–77,400
- Target 1: 77,650
- Target 2: 77,800
- Target 3: 78,000 if momentum is strong
Key levels
- Resistance: 77,400–77,500, then 77,650
- Near support:77,115, then 77,000
- Major support:76,550
Bottom line: I would not sell immediately at 77,268. The higher-probability trade is to sell a confirmed rejection near 77,400–77,500. Flip bullish only if price convincingly reclaims and holds above 77,500.
