Berkshire Hathaway on Saturday reported a ​higher quarterly operating ‌profit, benefiting from higher earnings in manufacturing, service ​and retail operations, ​while net income was ⁠bolstered by double-digit ​gains in common stock ​investments such as Apple and Alphabet.
